Let's Make Some Awesome

ANIMATION

After years writing for animation, I turned to my own 2D animation in 2008. I’ve animated shorts for many of the world's top brands, including Nickelodeon, Google, LEGO, McDonald’s, Pringles, Oral-B, Brisk Iced Tea, and Zumiez.

I’ve created animation for Sesame Street, ten animated shorts for the Amazon series Gortimer Gibbons Life on Normal Street, and I’m currently animating for the Amazon doc series, Streaming IRL. You can check out the episode about the gamer Myth here (I did all the animation in this episode):

Kid Engine, an animated series concept I created with fellow animator Brandon Ray, was one of five winners for Project Greenlight Digital, chosen from over 200 animation submissions.

I’ve also directed and animated pilots for Comedy Central and Spike TV.

In 2014 my producing partner Dave Cain and I were awarded a spot in Tongal's Hall of Fame for our years of producing winning content.

One of my favorite animations I’ve created over the years is “The Conservation Song,” which is now part of a permanent exhibit at the Houston Museum of Natural Science. This project was conceived and storyboarded by Brandon Ray, and I did the animation, using a mix of puppet-based and hand drawn 2D animation. Check it out below!

Here’s another of my favorite creations. This is one of my episodes of Sillyberg, a web series cowritten by Joel Bergen and Alex Muniz, and animated by me.

Below is another video I made with fellow animator Brandon Ray, as part of a national fire safety campaign for UL. Brandon did the stop motion animation, sets, and compositing, while I did the hand drawn character animation. Brandon and I wrote the song lyrics, and the music was composed and performed by the talented Gregory Pepper.

Another fun short I made recently was a Peppa Pig parody. This was written and directed by filmmaker Sasha Gordon, and I did the animation. A quick and fun little project (not kid friendly):

And here’s a video I wrote and animated to promote the Zumiez Couch Tour. This was produced by the Los Angeles based Small Ax Creative Agency.
